What We Do
UCT Medicine Hat, Alberta.
Where Community & Passion Unite!
We are the Order of United Commercial Travelers of America. A Fraternal Benefit Society offering it's members opportunities for local community service involvement along with various insurance products and other benefits.
UCT Members make a difference in their communities, touching lives through their involvement in a variety of activities that benefit others. Local councils support a number of community service activities including Youth Programs, Public Safety, and Drug Awareness Campaigns, Cancer Education & Prevention and Aid to People with Intellectual Disabilities.
We extend our Welcome to all people and their families, friends, and business associates who are 18 years of age or older.
Youth & Drug Awareness Programs - UCT councils are urged to get involved in the fight against drug use. Councils emphasize education as an important part of dealing with drugs in their communities.
Public Safety Education - Local council level focuses on such safety topics as driving, home, firearms, recreation and emergency care have been cited for their success. UCT sponsors an annual safety poster contest for students and students with intellectual disabilities.
Cancer Educaiton & Prevention - UCT members conduct educational meetings for members and the public and actively support cancer programs. Through their efforts Hospice Care Lodges are equipped; dressings are prepared and needed equipment is donated.
Aid to People with Intellectual Disabilities - This is the UCT's top priority charitable project. UCT has been a proud sponsor of Special Olympics. Local Councils continue to raise funds and volunteer hundreds of hours to support Special Olympics.
